ENHANCING EFL LEARNERS’ READING SKILL BY USING SHORT STORIES

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of conducting this research is to investigate the role of short stories in developing reading ability for EFL learners. Related to the purpose of the study, this paper is intended to give some factual information on enhancing of reading skill of students through using short stories. This paper also shows that short stories are completely for students in comprehending and developing their reading skill, such as they are able to comprehend the text well, the situation of the teaching, learning process become more joyful and interesting, the students also did not reluctant to open them.
