Abstract

Annotation. This article presents a contrastive analysis of the paradigmatic relations of speech verbs in the English and Uzbek languages. We explore the structural and functional differences in how these languages express speech acts and discuss the implications for language learners and educators. Our findings reveal intriguing distinctions in the usage of speech verbs and suggest pedagogical insights for teaching and learning both languages.
