Abstract

Annotation: Polysemy, even when it is considered within specialized domains, is a recurrent phenomenon and the topic is debated from time to time in terminology literature. This paper shows that polysemy is a prevalent phenomenon with which terminologists are often confronted. Polysemy can appear in a single domain and is quite common in specialized corpora in which domain-specific meanings and other meanings coexist.
