Abstract: The level of success achieved by enterprises in overcoming
operational, immediate and long-standing challenges as well as enhancing their
competitive edge relies heavily on the condition and degree of their production capacity
development. The article explores the idea of production capacity, evaluates different
approaches to explaining the nature of economic potential, and proposes a systematic
framework for examining production potential.
